Opera for børn

ABC project

ABC – EU-supported project

The Music Theater Figaros is leading an ambitious EU-supported project in collaboration
with partners from Denmark, Portugal, and Italy.
The project aims to connect young families with early years children through music and
community, breaking down cultural barriers.

Artistic Beginnings in Co-Creation (ABC) is an innovative initiative designed to develop
and test new training methods for artists and educators

The primary goal is to empower professionals to create inclusive community music
projects for young families with limited access to cultural activities.

“It’s about finding new and innovative ways to train artists in opera, music, and theater.

Ourgoal is to equip them to launch community projects that reach families and careres of
young children, who otherwise rarely get to experience cultural events,” says Birgitte Holt
Nielsen, project leader, producer at Figaros, and head of Figaros’ outreach department,
KulturCentralen.
